Bio:English major, former college English instructor, librarian, only child, Army spouse, parent of two daughters, alumnus of: Central Michigan University, Purdue University, Michigan State University, and University of Kentucky. Native of Evansville, IN, animal lover, baby boomer.

My journal talks mainly about Smallville, tidbits, character and ep comments, some meta although nothing super-profound. I post SV fics here whenever I have the good fortune to complete them, and all except my very early stories are archived in the memories. I do discuss my everyday life and family, too. I also like to address the occasional literary, historical or miscellaneous topic. I love discussion, and especially enjoy friends that will talk with me. I try to answer most comments, and to comment on every friend's journal at least now and then.

Also, much as I love SV, as someone who grew up on Silver Age DC comics, these will always be my primary, "authoritative" text for Superman lore.

Friending Policy (subject to change as time passes and whims vary): As of Spring 2006, this journal was friends locked by default for about a year. It is at present primarily unlocked. If you would like to be added as a friend, please leave a comment on the journal's initial entry. (I would appreciate being friended back, even if you use your journal for reading and not posting.) As of 2007, I do not friend "empty" journals or obvious sockpuppets. I generally add back individuals of whose reality I feel reasonably confident and who share fandom interests with me. Occasionally, I cull my f-list, removing journals that appear to be abandoned, or with whose owners I haven't interacted or communicated with reciprocally in a long, long time. If we've been mutual friends for a while and I've never seen a post from you or had a comment or discussed anything with you, I may remove you. If I ever delete anyone who is still around and reading and would like to stay, just alert me and I'll be happy to add you back.

I consider the people on my friends list more than a "reading list", but genuine friends; I don't generally defriend people I've gotten to know just because our interests change. I do like things to be reciprocal, though, so if you defriend me, I will likely do the same.
